Where do we see this going in the future? A graduation requirement? Long-term?

Ed: : Huge essential question to be discussed and decided. See our original proposal on the website. The plan is to have the entire 9th grade class come on board, and then the next we’d have 9th and 10th, etc.

Gail: I think we will shape the end result as we gain experience. It's a little un-UbDish I know, but we are so excited about exploring all the possibilites. We have difinitely discussed making this a graduation requirement, but that seems a long way off at the moment.

I think that if we are to make the eport a graduation requirement that the school system would need to really put some dinero into it because let's face it...the technology at this school does not compare to what many school in our own ERG have. I think that will be one of the biggest challenges for the eportfolio. We all will be fighting with people within our own cohort for available time. I think we all have to plan it well, so we don't run into a situation like I ran into last year...I couldn't find a computer lab for my students...they were all booked!

Long term planning as well as short term planning indeed needs to be part of our mission. You have raised an important issue and we will continue to discuss it.
