Ed: Huge essential question to be discussed and decided.
Gail: At the moment, the portfolios can only be seen in house. Publication for seniors is something we are planning on once we have the process in place. We would, of course, set up a protocol for reviewing and getting permission before we do that.

Why is it that these cannot be seen or accessed beyond our school walls? Does it have something to do with the program currently being used? What would the pro's and con's be of expanding the audience and accessibility? How can it help kids as they apply or prepare for college? What happens to these portfolios when a senior graduated?
The reason they are not viewable outside has to do with swiftnet. We thought that when kids were ready to apply for college we would have some kind of release form and then have a different space on the server to host them. It is just too risky to have 9th graders posting to the internet from our school without anyone reviewing it first
