Began with a "One Minute History" activity, after which, in a debriefing, teachers reported feeling more energized and connected to new and familiar colleagues. Hearing others' stories--even briefly seems to personalize our experience.
Hand out: Merrimack, NH Artifact List
Shared potential "artifacts":
David: video of a class discussion
Amy Z: student journal of responses in Spanish to a question of the day
Liz: student's personal skills inventory
Amy F.: video tape of a students teaching a lesson that applies the math problem to the "real world"
Lew: Building a Programmable Logic Array
Mike: scales performance on Finale Music software
Jerame: choral performance on Finale Music software
Rob: Lab report
Question: Just how will these artifacts--and the ePort in general--improve student learning, especially in comparison with "paper" models?

I was gathering student art work to be photographed, but by the time I had it all together and arrived at the meeting, it was over. I had planned to show the art and to discuss the steps necessary to prepare it for the web.
I'm sorry we weren't able to get you in! If you'd like, l you could begin our next meeting; we could then transition to course expectations.
David, May I have a copy of the Merrimack, NH Artifact List handout?
Of course. I'll bring one to our next meeting.
