Notes from Period 1's 2-24 Meeting

Minutes:
-“Silent Activity”
-Roundtable to find out where each member of our group is at with ePort
o Individual web pages, photo shop adventures, eport with 1 or more classes, looking to put reflections with artifacts, and developing ePort as final exam.
o Comment: the “failures” (for lack of a better word) end up heading in a positive direction. Keep experimenting and keeping track of your results.

-Discussion: “critical friends” concept for the 2nd semester
o General agreement and decision to each take one meeting and “present”
o Schedule (Period 1, Day 3): March 6-Liz, March 18-Chad, March 31-Annie, April 13-Mike, April 30-Ed, May 12-Roxanne, and May 22-Nancy (June 4-we wrap things up)
Note: these are not meant to be “stress days”! Instead, they are designed to share info, work with one another’s stuff, offer ideas, gain ideas, etc.

Parking Lot (we still have the same 2 from our 1st meeting)
-Video reflection as an alternative to written (YouTube approach)
-Captioning for the hearing impaired/other concerns for special needs

In the meantime--Continue to work on web sites; collect samples of artifacts, self-evaluations/reflections, etc.; continue to work on projects within our curricula, etc. Please feel free to talk with me to flesh out other possibilities.
